Kollam is a sea port in Kerala and was known as Quilon in the past. It has a history of commercial activity. It is endowed with all unique topographical features, it has sea, lakes, plains, mountains, rivers, backwaters and forest. There a number of places the tourists can visit in Kollam, these are, Thangassery Light House, Munroe Island, Kollam Beach, Palaruvi Falls, Sasthamkotta Lake, Sri Mahaganapathi Temple, Neendakara Port, Shenduruny Wildlife Sanctuary, R.P Mall and Thevally Palace. A number of hotels, bed and breakfast accommodations and lodging are available to suit all budgets. Some of them are Hotel Allseason, Aquasserenne, the Quilon Beach Hotel and Convention Centre. Work and Grill, Ramees Restaurant and the Riverside are some of the restaurant where you can enjoy the sea food. Kollam is connected by air, rail and road, Thiruananthapuram International Airport is the nearest airport, Kollam Junction and Eravipuram are two railway station and there is a regular bus service.

I visited kerala with my mom , hus and son for 7 nights, and done munnar , thekkady and kumarakam along with cochin. Panoramic resort Munnar , Elephant court thekkady , Taj Kumarakam and Travancore court Cochin were the hotels.Birds Holiday selected hotels as per my dream..so i enjoyed trip very much...
